CSR Gyprock  Superchek™ plasterboard is the latest product to enter the premium home market and is being used by builders throughout Australia. Superchek was recently used for a large project and is scheduled for use to plaster five new homes in Port Melbourne, Victoria.

Launched in December 2008, Gyprock Superchek plasterboard is the first Australian plasterboard which combines a number of key attributes to create a premium product that is tough, quiet and safe.

Gyprock Superchek has been specifically formulated with a heavy duty, high quality facing material and a more resilient, dense core. The combination of these features provides resistance from the damage of everyday knocks, improves the acoustic performance of a wall lining and improves fire resistance.

Premium home developer, Seidler Homes has just completed a four-bedroom luxury home in Lower Plenty, Victoria complete with home cinema and pool cabana. Architect Builder, Chris Seidler and Purchasing Manager, Tony Gacovski, chose to use Superchek plasterboard throughout the entire home, including the outbuildings.

Gyprock Superchek plasterboard requires impact with twice the force of standard plasterboard to leave an indent. Walls lined with Superchek plasterboard provide a notable sound reduction by 15 per cent. Superchek plasterboard is fire resistant, defending against the spread of flames for 20 percent longer than standard plasterboard giving the homeowner more time to react to fire and greater peace of mind.

Superchek plasterboard can be installed throughout the entire house, excluding wet areas, eliminating the need for specifiers and architects to specify different plasterboards for every part of the home, as well as making the installation process more streamlined for contractors.

Superchek plasterboard is a high density recessed edge plasterboard and is available in 10mm thick and a range of lengths.
