Described by Corinthian Doors as a ‘no compromise’ door architrave and moulding product, Ultraprime primed MDF moulding meets the highest Australian Standard for moisture resistance and the new Australian E0 (E-zero) formaldehyde emission standard, delivering real peace of mind for builders and property owners.

In an ongoing commitment to bring breakthrough door system products to the market, Corinthian Doors has linked with respected Australian manufacturer Carter Holt Harvey to offer builders the benefits of the new distinctive green mouldings.

Corinthian Doors is using its Australia-wide sales and marketing strengths to promote Ultraprime. The primed MDF architrave and moulding product is already being hailed as revolutionary for its ability to meet the standard for intermittent exposure to moisture, while also complying with the Australian E0 Standard and was one of just five finalists in the recent HIA GreenSmart Awards.

Stephen Dunn, Corinthian Doors’ Marketing Services Manager, says, “Corinthian has always focused on presenting a catalogue of door products that make the builder’s life easier. With doors and door systems, we can confidently claim we have the best. When it comes to fix-out products, it’s a major advantage to be able to deliver a range of door architraves and mouldings that also represent genuine peace of mind.”

The new architrave and moulding product’s moisture resistance properties are of important benefit to builders working in regions prone to humidity and who can face significant maintenance hassles with unhappy customers if products fail to perform to standard by swelling. Ultraprime is suitable for use even in tropical conditions.

In an independently supervised test, Ultraprime and a commonly used, lower priced door architrave and moulding, were submerged in water for 24 hours. Ultraprime showed no sign of swelling, cracking or bowing – unlike the other competitor moulding. Pre-primed for a superior installation, Ultraprime is painted a distinctive light green colour.

Corinthian Doors’ confidence in ULTRAprime has been boosted by its additional qualities and, when handled and fixed according to guidelines, there are no “volcanos” or buckling, splitting or warping. Painters also achieve an ultra-smooth surface with no grin-through from the pale green primer; and tradespeople benefit from low weight for easy handling.

ULTRAprime meets AS/NZS 1859.2.2004 for moisture resistance and the E0 Australian Standard for (0.5mg/L) formaldehyde emission for MDF. The product is independently tested by the Australian Wood Panels Association.
