Plant platforms from Con-form Group helped save time and money for the contractor on an apartment project in Brisbane.

During the execution of construction projects, a grey area of responsibility has generally been observed about plant platforms. The uncertainty about fixing the responsibility on the structural engineer, builder or mechanical contractor often results in the late addition of the roof platform, creating havoc with structural drawings and timelines.

CMF Projects found a solution for this problem on their Artisan Apartments project with aluminium platforms from Con-form Group.

Con-form’s lightweight aluminium platform was installed after the roof was completed with the structural engineer confirming that the steelwork did not need additional changes to be made, allowing the building project to continue on schedule.

Con-form platforms saved the contractor significant costs in the design and building process, and allowed for last-minute changes including addition of louvers while they awaited council requirements for acoustics and final details from the mechanical engineers.
