Chatterton Lacework has the capabilities to reproduce lacework and cast
iron ornamentation designs unique to Adelaide.
Adelaide, like Melbourne, also developed during the cast iron era. Though
not as widespread as in Melbourne, Adelaide offers some interesting variations
of ornamental iron usage, which can be seen even today.
For instance, Adelaide Hotels has been a wonderful preserver of cast
iron ornamentation, with some remarkable examples remaining today.
The last known registration for Adelaide lacework and balustrade designs
occurred in February 1885. Most registrations were, however, for gates and
fences.
