Cemintel Fibre Cement Systems has fitted out its new offices at the Stockland Triniti Campus in North Ryde with a range of CeminSeal products to achieve a 5 Star Green Star rating.

Cemintel’s new premises have been awarded a 5 Star Green Star – Office Interiors v1.1 rating for office fitouts. According to Cemintel General Manager, Drew Spiden, the Triniti project specified CeminSeal Barestone, a compressed facade with a raw cement look, and CeminSeal Wallboard for superior wet area linings.

A new family of products that offers sustainable advantages over standard fibre cement, CeminSeal products are manufactured using the new patented waterblocking technology that prevents water from penetrating the board, ensuring less call backs and increased peace of mind.

50% reduction in carbon emissions

Additional Cemintel products used throughout the office fitouts and the building included Bradford Insulation, Gyprock Plasterboard, Fricker Ceiling Systems, Hebel Aerated Concrete, Rockcore and Alturi Panel Systems as well as Viridian Glass.

Cemintel’s Chief Executive Officer of Building Products and Aluminium Division, Rob Sindel explains that the aim was to create a sustainable workplace that encouraged innovation and collaboration between business units, and provided up-to-the-minute facilities and technology.

The new initiatives, together with the smart green building features are expected to deliver carbon emissions reduction of around 50% in the first year for the new office premises.

Rob Sindel concludes by saying that the Green Star certification, together with Cemintel’s commitment to the environment helps them attract good employees into the organisation and reflects Cemintel’s desire to improve overall safety, health and environmental performance.
