The focus of the latest Concrete Concepts Technology Review from Cement Concrete and Aggregates Australia (CCAA) focuses on the trends and benefits in the hybrid use of precast and in-situ concrete in multi-rise construction.

The review examines how an optimised, mixed construction solution that has the respective strengths of both precast and in-situ concrete can deliver real advantages in terms of speed, reduced formwork and propping, improved floor fit-out schedules, and superior architectural finishes in multi-rise developments.

Tom Glasby, CCAA’s Manager, Construction Solutions, said recognition of the benefits has resulted in increased use of hybrid precast and in-situ solutions in Australia.

Concrete Concepts provides a useful reference tool for construction professionals and their clients, promoting the high speed, low cost and low risk benefits of concrete framing in multi-rise construction. Concrete Concepts comprises regular case studies, costing reviews and technology reviews.
