The new Sangean WR3, available from Canohm , is a tabletop stereo radio, designed as a stand-alone unit.

Physically, the Sangean WR3 is small enough and fits anywhere – the kitchen, office, or living room. It produces full, rich sound.

The user can listen to CDs, AM or FM radio station, iPod or MP3 through the Sangean speakers or a headphone jack. The Sangean WR3 is designed in such a way everything is inbuilt or hidden from view.

There are no visible buttons. Instead, a full function slim line IR remote control, about the size of a credit card, controls the entire system.

A pull down door on the front panel reveals access to the SD card slot and USB jacks. The 3.5mm stereo aux input jack, line output jack and headphone jack are located out of sight on the rear panel.

The large, bright display panel is easy to read and understand, and prominently displays the artist, title and album names of suitably encoded MP3 CDs.

Featuring the Sangean AcoustaCase technology and 3D audio projection technology, the WR3 speakers produce higher level surround performance, bass response and clarity. The user will hear the same clear musical nuances whether the volume is turned up or kept soft.

The Sangean WR3 can also be customised for music or talk back radio with 14 step bass and treble controls. There are also 20 memory presets, and text station ID.

The Sangean WR3 is available in High Gloss Piano Black from audio specialists. Canohm is the Australian distributor for Sangean.
