C.R. Laurence Australia  announces that the company has achieved full Australian compliance and certified engineering on friction fit spigots for use in balustrades, windscreens, and pool enclosures.

C.R. Laurence (CRL) is a leading manufacturer of architectural glass and metal products, and is firmly committed to developing certified, code-compliant hardware that meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and operation.

CRL's newest hardware system of friction fit spigots underwent three tests, all using 1500mm wide glass panels. The trusted NSW-based engineering and testing facility, Azuma Design assessed the friction fit spigots with SL30 round rail caps at 1000mm high for balustrades, with SLS30 square rail caps at 1000mm high for balustrades, and at 1200mm high for pool fences.

CRL’s precisely engineered friction fit spigots outperform competitors' spigots as they are durable and require no special glass fabrication. Most spigot systems operate by securing glass panels through drilled holes that the spigots are fastened through; however, CRL's square and round friction fit spigots feature specially engineered plates that hold up 12mm thick, toughened glass with no bolts or holes.

David Bremner, Managing Director of C.R. Laurence Australia explains their friction fit spigots are trusted options for the pool fencing, and commercial and residential balustrades markets. CRL aims to manufacture some of the best architectural products and systems that surpass strict industry regulations, and satisfy customers.

Friction fit spigots have Alloy 316 low carbon grade stainless steel construction that makes them ideal for indoor and outdoor use in both residential and commercial settings. They provide a versatile, contemporary hardware system that has been thoroughly tested and certified by C.R. Laurence and the NATA-accredited quality testing organisation, Azuma Design.
