Leading manufacturer of residential heating and cooling systems for Australian homes, Brivis Climate Systems was nominated as a finalist in the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Award for Manufacturer of the Year. The Hall of Fame Award recognises companies that have excelled in business innovation and productivity to contribute to the Victorian economy.

Beginning as a small family owned business, the 50-year-old Brivis has evolved into a leading manufacturer of heating and cooling products delivering assured quality, efficiency and long term reliability.

Celeste Camillo, General Manager, Brivis Climate Systems comments that their nomination in the Manufacturer of the Year category acknowledges the world-class quality of their products and manufacturing facilities as well as the dedication of their staff who strive for continuous improvements and work towards best practice and innovations in the workplace.

Brivis pioneered the concept of evaporative cooling in new homes with the revolutionary Brivis Contour range, an innovative low profile evaporative cooling unit compliant with many council covenant requirements. Brivis products have also been awarded a 6 star rating.

Brivis is currently collaborating with CSIRO on new solar cooling technology, which is being field-trialled in Queensland.

One of the earliest companies to design a digital communication system connecting its heating and cooling products through a two-wire bus to a thermostat, Brivis has also been adopting the latest technological innovations, incorporating robotic automation and automated guided vehicles to perform various production processes and improve quality and productivity.

Brivis’ manufacturing processes focus on achieving minimal waste, lowest possible cost, on-time, defect-free production, and more than 99 per cent on-time delivery.

At a community level, Brivis has worked for over 25 years with Marriot House, a not-for-profit organisation specialising in transition day programs and employment for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The Victorian Hall of Fame assessment team noted during the evaluation that Brivis exhibited an impressive commitment to implementing manufacturing excellence at all levels.
