The third version of Australia’s favourite LED downlight, the D900 Classic was recently released by leading LED technology company Brightgreen.

Brightgreen’s previous model in the range was launched as the world’s first LED downlight to match the brightness of a 50W halogen. The latest D900 Classic offers the same award-winning efficiency and quality with the addition of some groundbreaking improvements.

Some of the new features in the D900 Classic LED downlights include Brightgreen’s new Gen3 driver delivering seamless control on various dimmers and automation systems; advanced digital electronics in the driver eliminating the need for troubleshooting compatibility problems in the installation process; and industry-leading protection against power surges provided and deepest dimming enabled.

D900 Classic LED downlights are future-ready with homeowners allowed to install automated controllers at a later date. By reengineering the light’s heatsink for more efficient heat dissipation, the team at Brightgreen achieved a more compact IC-rated design. The smaller heatsink not only makes it ideal for fitting into smaller ceiling cavities, but also reduces air pockets under insulation to increase home thermal efficiency.

Key features of D900 Classic LED downlights include 3000K warm and 4000K neutral colour temperature options; Tru-Colour technology improving the appearance of interiors without sacrificing brightness; Brightgreen Gen3 driver for seamless performance on dimmers and automation systems; 45° and 55° beam angle options; compact, IC-rated heatsink to minimise air pockets and thermal losses through insulation; and silver and white finish options.
