Altair louvre windows from Breezway were specified for the classrooms and various activity spaces in the new buildings on the Dalyellup College campus in Western Australia.
Designed by Parry & Rosenthal Architects, Stage 2 of the Dalyellup College project consisted of two new two-storey buildings on the eastern side of the campus with state-of-the-art facilities including classrooms and associated activity spaces, staff areas, science laboratories and storerooms, an IT laboratory and computing resource area, interview rooms, a new uniform store, a café as well as a fitness centre.
The $30-million dollar contract also included an auditorium with a capacity to seat up to 75 people. This major project development provides world-class education facilities for up to 1200 year 7 to year 12 students.
Breezway’s Altair louvre windows were installed in the new additions to help provide comfortable learning and teaching spaces for occupants. The modern, chic design of Altair louvres was found ideal for this application as the blades open wide to provide abundant fresh breeze and a clear, open connection to the outdoors.
The architects specified Breezway louvres featuring the Stronghold System to minimise the risk of blades being dislodged by impact, and ensure the safety of students in the school environment.
This project won the Master Builders award for Commercial Industrial Buildings over $6,000,000.
