Commercial buildings are getting larger and have higher pedestrian volumes that need to be managed efficiently, with due consideration to safety and security while ensuring ease of access for wheelchairs, luggage and trollies.

The Winglock Swing is the slimmest, single wing access gate from Boon Edam, designed to accommodate up to four lanes in the same area.

Featuring a minimalist design, the bi-directional Winglock Swing complements Boon Edam’s separate Speedlane Lifeline series of security entrances – both aesthetically and functionally, forming part of a larger integrated system. However, Winglock Swing can also function as a standalone installation. The slim design of this access gate cleverly houses all the working components in the vertical tube.

“Winglock Swing is undeniably the sleekest gate on the market today. Constructed from stainless steel and a single glass panel, the lane is elegant and unobtrusive in nature and design,” Boon Edam Australia’s managing director Michael Fisher said.

Designed to manage bi-directional traffic effortlessly, the access gate uses smart, intuitive technology to guide each visitor through to their destination without delay or inconvenience, added Fisher.

Elegant access for all users

The Winglock Swing ensures a pleasant experience for everyone, including disabled persons on wheelchairs passing through the access gates.

The first Australasian installations of the Winglock Swing are underway. These access gates integrate fully with Boon Edam’s complete suite of entrance products and technologies, including electronically integrated lift and traffic flow systems.

With Boon Edam offering a comprehensive range of entrance and security solutions, architects, builders and specifiers across Australasia can specify a complete solution from the company, says Fisher.

Intuitive use

Designed for simple use, Winglock Swing does not require prior training while the intuitive LED lights make the user experience and walkthrough simple and enjoyable. Light signals for functions (such as in-use, authorised, standby etc.) include pulsing and quick blinking to further guide visitors through. Even first-time users find it a smooth transition.

Revolutionary low carbon footprint

Winglock Swing requires only 9W of energy in standby mode and 20W while in motion against the industry average of 200W, delivering substantial energy savings. Boon Edam’s BoonTouch interface can be installed to open up even more flexible access and authorisation options.

Secure, stable and customisable single wing access gate

A robust floor mounting plate of 135mm ensures a solid installation, eliminating the need for a supporting side post. Alternative floor mounting fixes have also been developed by Boon Edam engineers for common floor challenges.
