The SecureLap end lapping system from Bondor was installed along with PIR insulated roofing at Coles Coomera to protect against water ingress into the building.

The Challenge:

European end lap systems for insulated roofing rely on sealant to prevent water ingress and associated problems. However, the sealant often gets compromised during installation and from expansion or contraction post-install, leading to serious issues with water ingress into buildings. In Australia's harsh climate, this also causes corrosion of the end lapped sheets due to condensation and movement, a problem usually not covered by steel suppliers, but means costly replacement for the building owner, builder or installer.

The Solution:

Bondor's SecureLap is a world-first patented end lapping system that takes a multi-layer approach to protect against water ingress as well as expansion and contraction. Bondor's SecureLap system is designed with a thick profiled mechanical gasket, and an integrated roof expansion and contraction slider, and allows enough height for roof pans to be turned up to block water from entering a building.
