Bisley Workwear has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation
(NBCF) on a unique initiative to raise funds for breast cancer research.
As part of NBCF’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign, Bisley Workwear is challenging
Australian men to switch to pink high-vis workwear instead of the traditional
high-vis workwear.
NBCF CEO Carole Renouf explains that men are often left out of the
discussion on breast cancer though they are a vital part of the experience.
According to Ms Renouf, the Real Men Wear Pink campaign goes beyond getting
men to acknowledge the role they play in the breast cancer experience, to
encouraging them to become actively involved in the fundraising effort.
Launched in 2013, the Real Men Wear Pink campaign has raised $250,000 to
date. This year the organisation hopes to raise in excess of $1 million through
corporate and community support to fund breast cancer research.
To support the campaign, and NBCF’s goal of zero deaths from breast
cancer by 2030, Bisley Workwear has launched a new range of pink workwear with
$3 from the sale of each shirt donated to NBCF.
Bisley Workwear’s ambassador Scott Cam is switching his blue work shirt
for pink high vis. Scott was shocked to learn that one in eight Australian
women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. While the
statistic is incredibly scary, Scott says everyone has the opportunity to do
something to help change these figures.
Scott urges all men to grab a Bisley pink workwear shirt and register to
fundraise via realmenwearpink.org.au.
The new pink workwear range includes two night and day compliant and one
night only compliant high visibility safety garments in both men’s and women’s
styles. Bisley Workwear will donate $3 from the sale of each shirt to NBCF.
