A proposed bathroom upgrade project can be both exciting and overwhelming for most people. Beaumont Tiles spoke to their National Buyer for bathroomware, Darcy Shaw, who recommended a few useful tips to ease the process and help homeowners stay on track with their design objectives.
According to Mr Shaw, changing hardware and bathroom accessories may be the easiest way to spruce up the bathroom. One can easily transform their bathroom into the relaxing, beautiful space they want with new, up-to-date bathroomware.
Darcy suggests cosmetic fixes such as changing taps or replacing the vanity to get the desired results.
A stylish vanity for storage
Considered the workbench of the bathroom, a vanity comes in a variety of colours and styles. As far as bathroom furniture goes, a vanity is a very useful addition thanks to the storage it offers. Choice of colours, soft-close drawers and options such as freestanding and wall mount units are some of the features of modern vanities. Mr Shaw adds that the easiest item to replace in the bathroom is the vanity.
Tapware as centrepiece
Mr Shaw says taps come in many stunning designs and colours, with the broad range of options enabling the homeowner to achieve the perfect look for their bathroom. Taps can be selected for both design as well as practicality. Instead of the commonly used stainless steel or chrome looks, one can opt for tapware in elegant gold or beautiful matt black finishes.
Upgrading bathroom hardware
Referring to towel rails, towel and bathrobe hooks, toilet paper holders and soap dishes, Mr Shaw says replacing these fittings simplifies the bathroom upgrade process. However, one will need to ensure the replacement pieces fit exactly in the original space to avoid any unsightly holes.
Style and luxury with super showers
Updating your showerhead is an easy and inexpensive way to add a bit of luxury and style to your bathroom. Mr Shaw explains that showerheads can be handheld, ceiling, massage jets and steam.
Mirrors for space and light
Make your compact bathroom appear bigger with the right mirror, which can open up the space. Mirrors are also an excellent way to keep the bathroom bright and cheerful. Mr Shaw adds that mirrors come in all shapes and sizes, including cabinet models for extra storage.
Add luxury, storage and convenience to the bathroom with bathroom accessories such as tall boys, bath and shower caddies, soap dishes, and toothbrush tumblers.
