Contestants in the Street 14 Ideas Competition organised by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) in partnership with the City of Kingston
stand the chance to win prizes worth $28,000.
Open to landscape architects, students and the broader public, the
street design contest invites entrants to submit their ideas of what the modern
Moorabbin Junction might look like in the future. The Street 14 Ideas
Competition requires contestants to submit ideas for the revamp of Taylor
Street in Moorabbin.
AILA National President, Mark Frisby describes the Street 14 design
contest as a forward-thinking initiative where big ideas are encouraged,
enabling entrants to rediscover the potential and possibilities of Taylor
Street. Open to landscape architecture professionals as well as the entire community,
the contest is expected to get everyone thinking about the possibilities of good
design.
Street 14 is an open competition with a wide range of prizes including an
Australian Institute of Landscape Architects prize ($20,000), a Student prize
($4,000), a Best Urban Tactic prize ($4,000) and various community prizes.
