Australian Disabled Access Consultants advised about the disabled access and wheelchair access entry ramp design details for a multi-storey residential apartment building during the course of construction at 2A-4 Kent Street, Rose Bay by Kevest Constructions Pty Ltd in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
The residential apartment building has been approved without a disabled access ramp and builders. Kevest Constructions Pty Ltd decided to provide the disabled access ramp into the building that had not been constructed.
Australian Disabled Access Consultants:
- Provided design technical advice in September 2006 to the project builder, Kevest Constructions Pty Ltd for compliance with AS1428.1 guidelines.
- Instructed Planspec Building Designers in October 2006 to comply with Woollahra Council’s disabled access guidelines and Australian Standards design guidelines for the disabled access and wheelchair access ramp design details.
- Prepared the construction certificate’s disabled access assessment report in November 2006.
Construction of the front ground floor entry ramp compliant AS1428.1 guidelines ramp ensures permanent disabled access and wheelchair access into the residential apartment building.
