Foamular extruded polystyrene insulation was selected by Kynfield Residential and Commercial Building Contracts for their latest residential project in Putney. Foamular extruded polystyrene was used for external insulation and render substrate at the project.

Committed to green building principles, Kynfield chose Foamular for its high R-value for thickness (75mm = R2.67) in addition to the advantage of an external insulator system that will greatly reduce energy demand over the lifetime of the residence.

Foamular extruded polystyrene insulation panels are created using an environment-friendly HCFC blowing agent, with their high insulation levels helping to reduce household heating bills as well as carbon footprint through lower electricity consumption.

Fixing the insulation over the external wall frame greatly reduces thermal movement or ‘bridging’ through the stud frame, with the external insulation providing up to 30% more energy efficiency than batts in walls.

Key benefits of Foamular extruded polystyrene insulation include thermal insulation properties guaranteed to maintain at least 90% R-value for 20 years; unique closed cell structure eliminating risk of water absorption and creating a waterproof membrane; and lightweight panels screw fixed directly onto studs or masonry, and finished with a Polymer Modified (PM) seamless render system with impact resistance.
