Duratuff Select vinyl cladding from Austech External Building Products has been selected to feature on Better Homes and Gardens in a segment about instant house facelifts. The segment will focus on how homeowners can quickly and inexpensively improve their home while adding thousands to its value.

Rob Palmer, the Better Homes and Gardens DIY host and builder, was particularly impressed by Duratuff, describing it as “Botox for your home” as it will not age with time. Vinyl cladding has been designed to retain its colour and shape for a lifetime, without cracking, peeling, chipping or re-painting. This is the reason that Austech offers a 50 year product warranty on their whole range of Duratuff vinyl cladding.

The Better Homes and Gardens production crew selected Duratuff vinyl cladding as it represents exactly what they require; a cost effective, good looking and low maintenance house cladding. One of the crew even had their own house re-clad with Duratuff a couple of years ago and insists that it still looks like new.

Country Style Cladding fitted the exterior cladding and installed some new windows. The homeowner chose White Duratuff Select vinyl cladding, with 20mm foam insulation and a layer of reflective foil.

The homeowner has an older home with minimal wall insulation, so insulated cladding was ideal for the additional insulation he required without the need of extensive renovations. The insulation is not limited by studs like insulation batts, so the home gets a uniform covering of insulation, helping to maintain indoor temperatures and reduce the owner’s electricity bill.

The Better Homes and Gardens found Duratuff vinyl cladding so good to work with that the team also suggested it be used for potential future segments, including renovations, extensions, first floor additions, cubby houses and sheds.
