Ausco Modular has announced that it has won a supply deal to provide construction facilities for one of South Australia's largest construction projects, the new Royal Adelaide Hospital

General Manager Southern Region for Ausco Modular, Rob Wormald, says that the fact that the company won the new contract is evidence of Ausco Modular's extensive supply capabilities.

Ausco Modular, he says, has been operating in South Australia for more than 50 years, with local manufacturing facilities and staff, adding that the project "is a great example of Ausco’s ability to provide fast, efficient and high-quality building solutions."

This major project will see Ausco Modular supply facilities that will cater for 1,800 workers at peak, including:

  • a fully operational commercial canteen
  • a 200m2 safety induction facility
  • 1,200m2 of high quality office suites; and
  • all associated site facilities.

As this is a considerable construction project, facilities will be rolled out in stages over the next four years to accommodate for the project's growth, although the first six hire buildings were supplied and installed within 72 hours of Ausco Modular winning the contract.

"Ausco’s expert technical, design and supply capabilities played an important role in securing the contract during the negotiation phase," Mr Wormald says.

He adds that, "although Ausco Modular’s strong customer service culture, and supply and logistical capabilities were all valuable in securing this project, the project management experience of Ausco’s construction team was instrumental in securing a project of this size."
