Ausco Modular is ramping up capacity at its Stayover village as demand for employee accommodation increases in the Western Downs region.

Ausco Modular's Managing Director Anthony Walsh said that the Stayover village was designed to expand with demand and cater for more workers in the region. The Stayover on Zeller Street has been expanded to accommodate a further 184 employees based in Chinchilla.

The Stayover is at the final stage of development and will see the capacity upgraded from its existing 816 rooms to 1,000 rooms.

Each new room will be fitted out to the same high specification as the existing accommodation and will come with a private en-suite, double ensemble bed, LCD digital TV, split system air conditioning and carpeted floors.

The dining room, car park and other central facilities will also see a corresponding expansion to accommodate the increase in occupants. The project is expected to reach completion by early March 2013.

According to Mr Walsh, the expansion not only reflects demand in the region, but also helps Ausco Modular ensure adequate accommodation resources in the region. He added that the investment in expansion showed Ausco Modular's commitment to providing quality accommodation services for workers in the growing Western Downs region.
