Ausco Modular set up their plug-and-play camp in Duck Creek to accommodate over 300 personnel working for Murphy Pipe and Civil (MPC) on the Santos GLNG Project.
According to Tom Fuller, Project Manager on the Comet Ridge to Wallumbilla Loop Pipeline Project, Murphy Pipe and Civil awarded Ausco Modular the contract to supply, install and manage a temporary camp in Duck Creek (north of Roma). The camp had to temporarily accommodate 300 staff for a period of two months during the peak construction phase of the Loop Pipeline Project.
Given the urgency of the situation, Ausco proposed one of their new plug-and-play camps, which could be up and running in no time. Since all the services were on skids and above ground, the camp was established quickly with minimal fuss. The plug-and-play camp could also be just as easily demobilised and the land returned to its original state on completion of the project.
The Ausco Mobile team began the challenging installation quickly, achieving all the milestones, adapting to unforeseen changes in the schedule, and offering alternative solutions quickly and efficiently.
Tom Fuller acknowledged the efforts of Jeremy Kenny, Ausco’s Mobile Camp Logistics Coordinator, who tirelessly led his team in tough conditions to build the camp while dealing with some pretty big challenges along the way.
