Ausco Modular transformed a simple hand-drawn sketch to a complete building with a striking appearance for Tasmanian winery Brown Brothers.
Ausco Modular was contracted by the winery to design, construct and install a customised building on site at their vineyard in Apslawn on the state’s east coast. The project coincided with the launch of the new Devil’s Corner label for the Brown Brothers brand, with the building required to be ready in time for the advertised opening of the cellar door.
Working closely with civil engineers and the client, the Ausco Modular team ensured the building was customised and installed on time and within the original budget, shortly before Christmas.
Comprising of a 9.6m x 3.0m cellar door with custom wine tasting benches, built-in refrigerators and a digital print wrap to match the new Devil’s Corner wine label in addition to a 4.8m x 3.0m amenity block, the project perfectly highlights Ausco Modular’s versatility and ability in manufacturing portable buildings for specific purposes.
The beautiful artistic wrap was created by digitally printing the artwork onto a 6mm thick foam sandwich panel sheet and installed by screw-fixing the panels to the building over the existing wall panels. Designed by local Tasmanian artist, Rebecca Birrell, the breath-taking artwork is a visual interpretation of the treacherous waters of Whirlpool Reach and the calm of Devil’s Corner.
