Ausco Modular supplied their Acorus cabins to meet the requirement of the Department of Communities for emergency housing. The Department of Communities had identified a need for emergency relief housing in various remote locations should the need arise at any time for urgent accommodation.

Ausco Modular’s Acorus cabins feature a large open plan layout and are designed to create a comfortable and homely residence for the end user.

Some of these features include external Weathertex painted finish with modern timber doors and decking to give a warm and homely appearance; varying window sizes throughout the cabins allowing an enormous span of natural light into the buildings and paving the way for an energy efficient accommodation solution; choice of hardy materials that can be easily cleaned by mopping or wiping down; and good quality and durable appliances installed to ensure longevity of each cabin.

The robust construction of Acorus cabins supports the needs of growing families without costly maintenance. Designed with the end user in mind, but built efficiently to maximise cost savings for the client, Acorus cabins provide a fast accommodation solution that is also cost effective and low maintenance. The buildings are packaged for easy storage until an emergency situation arises.
