Professional power tool company Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduces a new technology which significantly increases the performance of cordless power tools.

Milwaukee’s V28 battery technology, distributed by Atlas Copco Tools , makes it possible for formerly corded products to go cordless.

Certified testing by independent test labs show amazing performance for the V28 tools. The new V28 Circular Saw can cut over 111 meter per charge, or more than twice as much as a standard 18 volt tool, and the Milwaukee V28 Hammer Drill produces 48 holes (26 mm) per charge while a standard 18 volt tool produces 28 holes.

After nine years of research and development, Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation announces the introduction of V28 lithium ion battery technology, the most recent of the company’s many innovations.

Milwaukee claims its V28 battery represents a technological breakthrough. It says never before has lithium ion, a platform most popular for its use in mobile phones and digital cameras, been perfected for high current draw applications.

The V28 line will be available at participating Milwaukee Electric Tool distributors throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands in July 2005.
