Atkar Group was the chosen project partner for the supply of baffle and facade panels to five elevated railway stations along the Caulfield to Dandenong line.

The Cox Architecture-designed Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal project involved the replacement of nine dangerous railway crossings with five elevated railway stations – Noble Park Station, Murrumbeena Station, Carnegie Station, Clayton Station and Hughesdale Station.

Partnering with the builders Casello (Noble Park and Clayton Stations), and Arc Plastering (Murrumbeena, Carnegie and Hughesdale Stations), Atkar supplied ExoTec soffit linings and Goldcore Light marine grade plywood baffle panels for installation at the rail line stations.

Both Casello and Arc Plastering worked around the clock to install the panels to meet project deadlines. Atkar was selected as their chosen project partner as the two builders were confident of material supply within a demanding timeframe.

Goldcore marine grade plywood baffle panels were supplied by Atkar Group, cut and sanded with a lacquer finish. At up to 38% lighter than standard plywood, Goldcore Light marine grade plywood provides a durable feature with unique A-grade timber aesthetics.

ExoTec is a range of fully sealed, compressed facade panels, designed for simple installation with a proprietary fixing system. One of the most popular fibre cement panels on the market, ExoTec assures durability, low maintenance and impact-resistant benefits for an expressed-jointed panel look.
