The Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL ) was established in 1969 and now represents around 85% of the Australian security industry.

ASIAL supports it Australian members, including large corporation and small to medium sized businesses and operations, by promoting standards and safeguarding public interests.

The association is also committed to providing its members with access to a wide range of services and programs to support their career choice, recognition and continuing Professional Development (PD). Regular industry briefings, online training, and First Alert email newsletter are just a few of the services available to members.

ASIAL also hosts an annual conference and exhibition as well as Industry Awards for Excellence.

Additionally, as of the 30th April 2010, the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) gained approval as a Registered Association of Employers from Fair Work Australia.
