Armstrong Flooring Pty Ltd has announced a donation of $20,000 to the Australian Red Cross to help with their relief and recovery efforts. The contribution includes donations of 10,000 Australian dollars from both the company’s U.S. headquarters and its Australian business unit.
“Along with people around the world, our team members have watched the unprecedented destruction of the bushfires and expressed their concern and a desire to help,” said Michel Vermette, president and CEO of Armstrong Flooring.
“We are grateful for the efforts of emergency responders, organisations like the Red Cross, and the many volunteers who have stepped up to help their neighbours and respond to this crisis.”
Armstrong Flooring operates a resilient flooring company in Braeside, near Melbourne. The company’s contribution will support Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery efforts, and help the many people affected by bushfires that have devastated parts of the country.
In addition to the donation, Armstrong Flooring Australia has also set up a fundraising page with the Australian Red Cross for employees or others who would like to contribute to the recovery efforts.
“We offer our deepest sympathies to all who have lost loved ones, homes, businesses, pets and livestock, and are saddened by the catastrophic impact on our wildlife and landscape,” said Richard Ye, Armstrong Flooring general manager for Australia and New Zealand.
