Amy Muir has been announced as the winner of the 2016 National Emerging Architect Prize at the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards. The prestigious award is sponsored by Architectural Window Systems (AWS).

Amy Muir graduated from RMIT with first-class honours in 2002, winning both the Anne Butler Memorial Prize and the Architects Registration Board of Victoria’s Association of Women in Architecture Prize for her final thesis project.

Amy worked for Carr Design for seven years as Director of Architecture. Having co-founded Muir Mendes (now Muir Architecture) in 2011, she now runs the practice as the sole director.

Architectural Window Systems (AWS) is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of aluminium window and door systems.
