Several products from Anston Architectural Products including paving, square edge pool coping and step treads were specified for the outdoor spaces at a home in the inner Melbourne suburb of Kensington, Vic.

Landscape designer Georgia Harper of GHLD combined contemporary design elements with a gorgeous palette of architectural materials to create a resort-style relaxed ambience in the outdoor spaces of the home.

The private pool oasis designed by Harper features a short flight of concrete steps leading up from the ground level to the generously-sized pool with a dramatic infinity edge. The pool area allows plenty of room for people to relax and lounge around its perimeter. On the other side of the garden bed adjacent to the pool, there is additional space for outdoor play along an expanse of soft green lawn.

The hardscaping elements used throughout the outdoor entertaining area and pool surrounds include warm timber slats and sleek stone cladding, balanced with an exposed-aggregate concrete aesthetic that is expressed in the off-form corner feature of the pool, as well as Anston’s Pebble Range paving and square edge pool coping in the colour Dune.

“Anston’s Dune paver is the perfect blend of lightness and texture that we felt really gave the outdoor spaces a lift; it offers a contemporary edge, and at the same time contrasts beautifully with foliage to create an element of softness that make this space so much more inviting,” Harper said.
