AME System  in Clayton, Australia, recently won a tender to supply and install 43 of their flagship Premium Operator Consoles for the surveillance centre at City of Dreams, an integrated entertainment resort project in Macau’s Cotai, developed by Nasdaq listed entertainment company, Melco Crown Entertainment and set to become a significant destination in Macau, China.

AME System’s founder Richard Winnicki is an international expert in customised ergonomic design for the workplace.

Richard Winnicki’s innovative electric height adjustable workstations are used by some of the biotechnology, avionics and electronics companies, and are already in use in the casino surveillance/security rooms at Crown Macau, another casino property developed by MPEL.

AME System were awarded the contract because of the company’s innovative ergonomic solutions for multiple monitoring in surveillance situations.

The Premium Operator Consoles, to be installed at City of Dreams, are electric height adjustable for sitting or standing, ergonomically designed around the operator and capable of displaying up to eight surveillance monitors.

Each desk is equipped with four electric actuators (‘legs’) with a lifting capacity of 280kg, which respond silently and smoothly at the push of a button as they are positioned for sitting or standing.

Research shows that having the flexibility to sit and stand at a workstation has many physical and mental benefits.

AME System’s ‘lean’ manufacturing philosophy gives them the ability to customise quickly and efficiently. They designed the Premium Operator Consoles to ergonomically fit surveillance operators to cope with the rigors of a 24 hour operation.
