Speciality global coffee retailer Gloria Jean's Coffee has partnered with Altro Safety Flooring to install their safety flooring product throughout their Chinese operations.

Gloria Jean's Coffee opened its first cafe in the Luwan district of Shanghai, the first of 600 cafes planned for the China market. Working in partnership with local Chinese food retailer Dash Brands, Gloria Jean's Coffee developed a store concept that reflected the expectations of this unique, yet increasingly westernised market.

Designed as a pilot for all future stores, the new cafe is located in the Hong Kong New World Tower in Shanghai. Gloria Jean's and Dash Brands expect to build up to 600 stores within the next 15 years across the north and east regions of China, further enhancing the coffee retailer’s position as one of the fastest growing franchises in the world.

Altro China has been exclusively signed on to supply safety flooring for all the outlets in China, based on the existing relationship between Altro and Gloria Jean's Coffee in Australia. The British specialist safety flooring manufacturer has over 50 years of experience supplying food and drink retailers all over the world.

Altro also opened a new sales office in Shanghai to take advantage of the growing demand for high quality western building products in China. Altro's China Country Manager, Mr Edward Zhang has great depth of experience in the floorcovering industry throughout China and the rest of Asia.
