Kitchen splashbacks is one application where designers and customers have looked for alternatives to glass splashbacks for numerous reasons including cost saving, safety and choice of finishes.

Allplastics Engineering stocks and cut to size the following options for domestic or commercial kitchen splashback projects.

Perspex Pearlescent
Perspex Pearlescent is available in 8 colours with a unique soft shimmering luster that offers an inviting and almost luminous effect, which can be further enhanced by altering the light source and direction angle. Perspex Pearlescent is available in sheet sizes measuring 3050mm x 2030mmx 3mm thick. The sheets can be easily cut and routed to avoid unnecessary joints.

Zenolite
Zenolite is a high gloss, design rich acrylic panel that can be supplied in 14 living colours and has 25 times the strength of standard glass. Zenolite acrylic panels are ideal for use as kitchen splashbacks as it is easily cleaned by mild soapy water. They can also be used in other cladding applications such as reception counter fronts, bar fitouts, office decorations, and food courts.

Design Composite Panels- Backlit Splashbacks with depth
The Design Composite Pep Core of Airboard Translucent panels offer a completely different solution thanks to its unique geometry. It is available in clear, gloss and satin colours and is suitable for use in applications where the splashback is backlit by Fluorescent or LED lighting, thus, giving the kitchen wall depth and definition.

The Pep Core range of kitchen splashbacks is available in panel sizes measuring 3m x 1m x 20mm thick with a distinctive triangular pattern. The Airboard range is available in panel sizes measuring 3m x 1m x 20mm thick with the beehive pattern.

Due to temperature limitations, the above products are not recommended for use directly cooktops.
