Evcco’s Australian-made PVC-free safety conduits have been selected for the Masdar Eco City Project in the Middle East, being built to showcase the world’s best zero-waste, carbon-neutral sustainable development.

Evcco’s halogen-free safety conduits are available from Albatech .

Evcco PVC-free conduits were selected for the 6-million square metre development in Abu Dhabi after a rigorous year-long screening and selection process involving some of the world’s best ecologically sustainable brands.

Evcco manufacturer Albatech Pty Ltd says winning the contract through such an exhaustive process is a tremendous boost for the product’s green star sustainable building credentials because Masdar Eco City will include the world’s greenest commercial buildings and be a model for global development.

Masdar’s selection of Evcco electrical cable conduits gives the product tremendous credibility among specifiers for green buildings worldwide. It is hugely significant to potential global markets and in areas where the product has already been launched including Australasian, Asian, Middle Eastern and European markets.

Since the selection, Albatech has established permanent representation for the product within Masdar City.

Evcco non-PVC safety conduits are used in diameters up to 150mm to carry electrical and data cabling in surface and in-ground applications, offering low carbon footprint and minimal greenhouse gas emissions whilst retaining the polymer’s inherent characteristics of light weight and high impact resistance.

Evcco’s innovative range of safety cable conduits is suitable for specifiers seeking to achieve the highest environmental ratings for commercial and industrial projects including Australasian and global green star requirements as well as LEED and Estidma compliance in addition to conformity with BS/EN Standards.

Evcco’s HFT conduits are designed to replace PVC conduits and metal conduits. While metal conduits are cheaper to buy, they cost more to install, requiring the services of more expensive specialised trades such as welding. Additionally, there is a higher degree of difficulty in installing metal pipes in confined or underground spaces.

High environmental benefits, enhanced safety levels and flexible installation are the key advantages of the halogen-free flame-retardant conduits in commercial and industrial projects.

Additional advantages include rugged durability across an extensive range of temperature and site conditions in above ground as well as in-ground applications.
