Akril glass panels are a new, environmentally friendly way to give an instant facelift to a commercial or residential design project. Once installed these panels will have a long working life if the following general maintenance advice is followed:
The glass panels should be cleaned with a mild soap or detergent using lots of warm water. Scouring compounds together with the following products should not be used as cleaners:
- Acetone
- Amyl, butyl and ethyl acetates
- Benzene
- Chloroform
- Dichloromethane
- Glacial acetate acid
- Toluene
- Xylene
It is also not recommended that steel wool or harsh scrubbing brushes are used to clean the panels. Grease, oils and tar can be removed using Hexane of Kerosene. Any solvent residue will need to be removed immediately.
The following products can be used as cleaners:
- Ajax Spray and Wipe
- Domestos
- Jiff Glass Plus
- Metholated Spirits
- Mr Sheen
- Pine O Clean Active Oxygen
- Showerpower
- Windex
The glass panels should then be dried using a soft cloth or chamois.
