Air Cleaners Australia offers a range of IQAir air cleaning systems for the purification of air in dental surgeries.

The Dental Pro is part of this range and has both been designed specifically for removing pollutants from the air in dental environments.

Many air pollutants can be commonly found in dental surgeries such as:

  • viruses
  • bacteria
  • mercury vapours
  • VOCs, and
  • disinfectant odours.
The Dental Pro, air cleaning system can be placed anywhere in a dental surgery and works to clean the air through the constant filtration and recirculation of room air.

The Dental Pro air cleaning system helps to eliminate dental air contaminants using five filtration stages.

  • Micro and nano particle filtration – the first stage is a complete particle pre-filtration which eliminates microscopic particles such as viruses, allergens, smoke and bacteria and prevents clogging.
  • Specialised cartridge based molecular control – the air then passes through a series of 4 specialised filter cartridges that contain up to 5 kg of gas phase control filtering media.

2 of these cartridges contain a wide spectrum chemical control media which is a mix of activated carbon and chemisorbent. The other cartridges contain a mercury vapour control media

  • Final air filtration -  the air passes through a micro charged filtration process which eliminates activated carbon and chemisorption abrasion particles through a charged fibre structure.
