Emil Jonescu is the new principal of research & development at firm Hames Sharley based in their Perth studio.

As principal of Research & Development, Jonescu will be the conduit between academia and Hames Sharley, unlocking opportunities for both prospects to partner and engage in various mutually beneficial endeavours.

His prior professional, government and industry experience has significantly contributed to his research that contributes to the body of knowledge associated with densification, urban planning, and impact to social and community sustainability, the firm says.

“Excellence in Research, Education and Practice is critical for us to continue doing what we do best; it underpins our design methodology and extends to how we operate at Hames Sharley. As such, I am thrilled to welcome Emil to this new role,” says managing director, Caillin Howard.
