A wall of eyes, a room simulating a crashing wave, and a shopfront showcasing a digital feature wall – these design elements combined allow customers to engage with the world’s largest Sunglass Hut.

Located on Sydney’s George Street, and constructed and managed by FDC Construction & Fitout, the Sunglass Hut uses the latest technology to create a fun and interactive experience.

The showroom features a chandelier made from Ray Ban lenses and two themed rooms – one of which includes a crashing wave wall by renowned Bondi Beach photographer, Aquabumps’ Eugene Tan.

Two separate stores were merged into one 300sqm showroom, with a digital feature wall used instead of the traditional entrance window display. This digital wall was developed using Taxon Panels behind a Barrisol membrane. Its colour and the shape of its contents can be changed according to trends, seasons and the latest products.

Within the showroom, a GLASSILED wall was installed, made up of LEDs positioned between glass panes that light up in a number of colours. This has resulted in an every-changing backdrop to a collection of sunglasses, including the largest collection of Ray Ban sunglasses in the southern hemisphere.

“The Sydney flagship is the pinnacle embodiment of our brand and delivers the ultimate Sunglass Hut experience,” says Fabio d’Angelantonio, President of Sunglass Hut.
