First female President announced for NABD
The first year of Australia’s National Association of Building Designers (NABD)

The 2015 National Building Design Awards show will be hosted by internationally-renowned interior design expert, editor of Vogue Living Australia and television personality Neale Whitaker. The National Building Design Awards will be held on Saturday 17 October 2015 in Melbourne.

Organised by the National Association of Building Designers (NABD), the National Building Design Awards showcases the expertise, creativity and excellence of building designers nationwide.

A longstanding supporter of Australian building design, Whitaker says he is constantly blown away by how the industry is at the forefront of design and innovation. Having travelled the world for design, Whitaker noted that the Australian building design industry’s appetite to think outside the box and create visually-stunning projects was exceptional and unparalleled to most countries.

As an enthusiast of interior design, Whittaker will also present the ‘Best Residential Interior Design’ and ‘Best Non-Residential Interior Design’ awards.

This year’s National Building Design Awards will see nineteen awards being presented including ‘Best New Residential Design’, ‘Best Heritage Design’, ‘Best Sustainable Design’ and ‘National Building Design of the Year’.

Proudly sponsored by James Hardie Australia, Weathertex and Ametalin, the 2015 National Building Design Awards will be held at the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel.
