Australia’s strong economic performance relative to Europe has not been lost on the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), as they get set for a Downunder Trade Mission.

RIBA Chartered Architects and RIBA Chartered Practices have been invited to undertake a Trade Mission to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in September.

The trip promises extensive networking opportunities with local partners, officials and potential clients in the form of business matching, networking receptions, site visits to ‘High Value Opportunity’ areas will be included in the itinerary.

“Australia is an advanced global economy celebrating an unprecedented 23 years of uninterrupted growth.  Our Trade Mission will unlock new opportunities for those practices joining us and promote Great British architecture Down Under,” RIBA publicity states.

It continues: “The mission is essential for practices and architects;

“Looking to embark on overseas work - the strong developed economy and the similar cultural customs and business practices to the UK make Australia the ideal starting point

“Who already have a presence in Australia and wish to maintain and raise their profile – the prestige and global reputation of the RIBA will ensure our delegation is received from the biggest clients and decision makers. "
