i29 Interior Architects have designed a kitchen island with an exceptionally slim profile, that when viewed from certain angles, almost seems invisible.

Designed for a minimalist home or apartment, the kitchen unit features a freestanding island with a top surface measuring only a few of centimetres in thickness.

Despite its incredibly thin profile, the bench is fitted out with all the water, cooking and electrical connections expected to be found in a modern kitchen.

i29 interior architects have positioned the island in front of large cabinets where it blends into the straight lines of the panel work.

The large sliding cabinet doors are designed to look like the existing kitchen walls and work to conceal appliances and storage space.

The geometry of the kitchen hides its intended function, allowing it to be viewed as furniture until it is required to be put to use.
