Sustainably warm: underground and in-slab heating at Cox’s SBRC


The University of Wollongong extends an invitation to the community to attend the SBRC Open Day being held at the Innovation Campus on Saturday 14 November 2015.

Located at the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus, the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre, designed by Cox Architecture, is a 6 Star Green Star- Education Design v1 accredited, multi-disciplinary facility that hosts a wide range of research and industry collaborations to address the challenges of making buildings sustainable.

Based on the principles of the Living Building Challenge, the SRBC building pushes the boundaries of sustainable design and construction to encourage and inspire communities throughout Australia to get proactive on sustainability.

The 2015 SBRC Open Day will be a fun-filled day of sustainable building inspiration and will include tours to the award-winning Illawarra Flame House and the SBRC building as well as expert speakers, research projects, and a sustainable building products showcase.

The SRBC Open Day will be held at the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre, Innovation Campus, Squires Way, North Wollongong on Saturday 14 November 10am-2pm.
