Northern Queensland architects have produced a new book-cum-architecture guide that will educate visitors about the design of local buildings in the Far North Queensland region.

‘Built Works by Regional Architects - a guide’ is the collaborative work of a number of Far North Queensland architects and includes information about 62 projects from 20 different local architecture firms, old and new.

The book has been in the making for about two years and involves the volunteer effort and commitment of many local members. It will include maps and guides for visitors wishing to learn more about architecture projects in Cairns, Port Douglas, the Tablelands and Mission Beach.

Built Works by Regional Architects - a guide is due to be launched on 1 May 2015 at the Australian Institute of Architects’ Far North Queensland Regional Architecture Awards, and will be available for sale after that.
