The countdown has begun for R+T Australia 2014, an exhibition for external building systems, window furnishings and sun protection systems. Over 40 exhibitors have signed up for the show, with more scheduled to come on board in the next few weeks.

To be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 21-23, R+T Australia 2014 will focus purely on products and services in the roller shutters, doors/gates, windows, screens and sun protection systems market.

Thurain Aye, exhibition manager for the event says the exhibition has already attracted a strong mix of Australian and international exhibitors across its target industry sectors. This includes Croci, Gfa Electromaten and FAAC.

Having already allocated more than 50 per cent of their gross floor space, and with well over 200 expressions of interest in the show, the organisers will finalise the complete exhibitor line-up over the next few months, along with the seminar and educational program to be run in conjunction with the exhibition.

Some of the key exhibitors signed up for R+T Australia 2014 to date include Buz Software (Australia), an Australian-based developer and supplier of CRM systems for the window furnishings, awnings and security screens market, and Carrot Industrial (Taiwan), which offers a wide range of affordable Taiwanese and Chinese-manufactured blinds, doors, shades, skylights, and external crank bistro systems.

Croci (Australia), a manufacturer of rolling shutters, profiles, pelmets, motor systems, awnings and roller screen systems is also joining the exhibition, as is FAAC (Australia), which manufactures automated gate operating equipment for residential, commercial and industrial applications.

Freedom Retractable Screens (Australia), an Australian-based supplier of retractable insect screens for doors, windows and various openings, GfA ELEKTROMATEN (Australia), which offers a wide range of drive and control systems for industrial doors, and Julius Koch (Germany), a specialised German producer of technical textiles for blinds are other key exhibitors.

According to Aye, R+T Australia 2014 is unlike building exhibitions that attempt to cater for a broad market. Instead, it is very focused on what is an increasingly important market niche as architects, designers, specifiers, owners and builders look to develop sustainable long-term solutions to the industry’s challenges and demands.

R+T Australia 2014 is a spin-off event of R+T in Stuttgart, Germany, regarded as the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors, gates, and sun protection systems across industrial, commercial and residential applications.
