The Meriton Group is planning to raise the height of the second tower in its masterplanned Sydney Olympic Park project, to meet the extraordinary demand for apartments. The resort-style Retreat will have 1400 apartments on completion.

Initially planned as a 22-level tower, the second of the Aura towers will be boosted to 33 levels, which will increase the number of apartments from 88 to 243 units. Aura’s completed first tower is 95 percent sold while the second featuring glass-faced apartments and uninterrupted views, is expected to have a similar demand from buyers.

Observing that the demand for the lifestyle on offer within the Olympic Park precinct was ‘ever-growing’, Meriton Group chief executive Harry Triguboff says the Group had made a major commitment when they bought the Carter Street site for $245 million three years ago and now are excited to see their vision for the site come to life.

Apartments in the planned 33-level elliptical tower will range from one-bedroom layouts through to four-bedroom penthouses with rooftop entertaining areas.

Meriton is now seeking development approval to take the second Aura tower to 33 levels.
