The Living Futures Institute of Australia 2018 Symposium will be held at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne on Thursday 11 October 2018.

The 2018 Symposium brings together inspiring thinkers and doers and will define, redefine, examine, and challenge what a ‘Living Future’ could really mean across multiple communities and multiple industries.

Throughout the day attendees will hear the untold stories of people, projects and journeys, learning how “profitability, business and success" are all connected to genius, courage, and dreaming.

Diverse speakers will present discussions and workshops in the streams of biophilic design, healthy materials, and special projects and you, as participants, can join the thought-provoking debate.

The Living Future Institute Australia (LFIA) says its purpose is to help define what a good future looks like in the built environment and redirect our future towards a society that is socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative through training, support, and design initiatives across a number of innovative international programs, including the Living Building Challenge.

The Living Building Challenge is the built environment’s most rigorous performance standard and the LFIA activities are about working with professionals, industry and the public on systematic change to facilitate excellence in all aspects of liveability.
