The newly-formed design firm GroupGSA+artillery, since their merger in late 2017, has announced that it has garnered nine new project wins in the 10 weeks following the merger’s announcement.
These include new projects with a major airline, Warrnambool Library and one of Melbourne’s major hospitals, among others.
The multi-disciplinary design practice won the airline’s fitouts in Collingwood (6800m2) and Tullamarine (1500m2), while one of Melbourne’s major hospitals has also asked GroupGSA+artillery to refurbish its Psychiatric Ward, High Dependency Unit and Low Dependency Unit (including common areas, ensuites and sensory rooms). The specialist care unit is spread across two levels at the hospital.
The group also got the formal go ahead for the Warnambool Library Feasibility Project just prior to Christmas last year.
The cross-disciplinary project will combine architecture, landscape and interiors to develop a joint use library with the potential to become a thriving community hub.
According to Sonja Duric, head of the Melbourne arm of GroupGSA+artillery, these new projects are due to what she calls its “research-based design.”
