It’s nearly D-day – the launch of FRONT – a boutique design event for architects, designers, property facilitators and end users together into an innovative, business-focused event.

Taking over Carriageworks 9-10 August, FRONT is an evolution of the traditional trade show format and is FREE for professionals to attend.

Brought to you by the people behind the INDE.Awards, Saturday Indesign and the Sustainability Awards, we understand the A&D industry and where some of the pain points lie, which is why FRONT is about delivering something different but relevant.

With a range of seminars that have almost been filled to capacity with pre-event registrations, there are still a few spaces left in three FRONT seminars.

Best of all, for those that register by August 8, tickets will be free.

The seminars are:

Hospitality design is significant for its role in shaping the way we socialise and interact, work and relax, eat and drink, and engage with sensory experience through space. But when designing a restaurant, who are we really catering for – the client, the customer or the main user (ie. the restaurant staff)? We look at what design details enable a great dining experience, from the perspective for the people who are in the space more than anyone. Through smooth, efficient running of a restaurant, what design details enable great dining experiences for customers? We chat to four hospitality pros.

The process of commissioning, designing, and delivering hospitality spaces is evolving. Increasingly, developers and property groups are taking ownership of hospitality spaces and seeking to balance impactful design with financial concerns and a rigid bottom line. How are commercial and regulatory factors really shaping hospitality design?

By working closely with our six ambassadors, we have developed a seminar series that is diverse but most importantly relevant – strategy, technology, hospitality crossovers, adaptive re-use and more.
