Brickworks will open the doors to their first Tasmanian studio on 3 March 2016 with a building products library featuring everything from clay brick, natural stone and timber, to cladding products and clay tiles.

The new Brickworks Design Studio at Hobart’s Franklin Wharf will be housed in a character-filled heritage building on the harbour near Salamanca’s thriving modern architectural precinct.  The design space was created in collaboration with Tasmanian designers BYA Architects, and constructed by local company CWD. Reflecting a local design aesthetic, the space can also be easily transformed into an event space. The studio integrates a state-of-the-art kitchen and the latest technology to support the custom built boardroom and building products selection space, ensuring maximum ease of use.

According to Carli Dunchue, Retail and Design Manager at Brickworks, the beautiful showroom in Tasmania has been opened as part of a national rollout of design studios. She added that Hobart’s innovative art, construction and design culture marks it as a significant area of expansion for the company.
