Claiming a first for Victoria, ecolour yesterday opened its new showroom and distribution centre in Braybrook, Melbourne.
The company says its paint is completely non-toxic and is the only paint in the world to be Carbon Neutral accredited.
The new store has a full range of ecolour premium quality acrylic paints, plus a comprehensive stock of climate sensitive painting accessories.
Old engine oil that would otherwise be burnt off as cheap furnace fuel is converted into a non-toxic emulsion, while the company offsets its entire carbon footprint.
The paint is non-toxic and contains no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds that off-gas from painted surfaces and are linked to cancers and other serious illnesses).
